Trust HomeChoice

The government is passing a new law which means that in future, some new tenants going into social housing may not be offered a tenancy for life, as happens now.  Instead they could be offered a tenancy for a fixed period of time, say 5 or 10 years, at the end of which their circumstances would be reviewed to see if they still need social housing.  Existing tenancies won’t be affected. The council is consulting over whether these new tenancies should be used for some council and housing association properties, and we would like to hear your views.   We would appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete a questionnaire. These are big changes and we want to make sure that we consult as many people as possible before developing our new tenancy strategy and policy.  Have your say by completing our on-line questionnaire……  Click here to take our survey
